| 1. |
|
Scrape up any solids with a blunt knife or spoon and blot up liquids with clean, white cloth or tissues. |

|
Sponge with a detergent solution, either a teaspoon of washing powder dissloved in a half pint of lukewarm water or a solution of carpet shampoo diluted as per the manufacturer's instructions. Blot the carpet dry. |

|
Rinse with clean, lukewarm water and blot dry. |
| 4. |
|
Brush up pile and cover with clean, white cloth or tissues until dry. |
